This Privacy Policy explains how Vettted ("we") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with vettted.ai (the "Service"). Contact for all privacy matters: team@vettted.ai.

1. Information We Collect

You provide: buyer-profile details (name, email, company, city, website, budget band, goals), account information, agency claim/application details, review submissions, and support communications. Automatically: device and usage data, pseudonymous session identifiers, page exposure and conversion events, and cookies described below. From public sources: business information used to build directory listings and, when you share your website, enrichment extracted from that publicly accessible site (such as its title, description, and published contact details). From partners: attribution confirmations from affiliate programs (not your payment details).

2. How We Use It

To operate the directory and matching service; to share your buyer profile with a small number of matched Agencies (the point of the Service); to run and improve features (including A/B testing on pseudonymous identifiers); to send transactional and, with consent where required, marketing communications; to detect abuse; and to comply with law. We do not sell personal information for money. Where affiliate-attribution cookies or similar sharing may constitute "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under certain state laws, you may opt out as described in Section 5.

3. Sharing

With matched Agencies (your buyer profile, at your request); with service providers under contract (hosting, database, analytics, communications); with affiliate/partner programs for attribution of clicks you initiate; in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale; and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Public-Source Listings (Notice to Agencies)

Directory listings are compiled from publicly available business information under our legitimate interest in operating a business directory. Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, this Policy serves as our Article 14 notice. An authorized representative may correct or delist a listing at any time via team@vettted.ai.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EEA/UK under GDPR, and California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Utah, and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising or "sharing," and to not be discriminated against for exercising rights. Submit requests to team@vettted.ai; we will verify and respond within the period required by applicable law. You may appeal a refusal by replying to our decision. Authorized agents may submit requests where the law provides.

6. Cookies

Essential cookies (session, security), functional cookies (theme, persona preference), analytics/experiment cookies (pseudonymous), and affiliate-attribution cookies set by partner programs when you follow an affiliate link. Browser controls and, where shown, our consent controls let you limit non-essential cookies.

7. Retention & Security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as law requires, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege service credentials). No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and regulators of breaches as the law requires.

8. International Transfers, Children, Changes

Data is processed in the United States with appropriate safeguards for transfers where required. The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Material changes to this Policy will be posted with at least 30 days' notice where required; the "Last updated" date governs.
